「VR流體觸覺回饋之地板裝置」
在虛擬實境中適當的加入多感官回饋有助於提升人們的沉浸感,而如何模擬地面的回饋是個持續被探索的問題。然而,多數的地面回饋以模擬實體材質為主(例如沙子、草與雪),至於如何模擬細緻的流體感受還是一項挑戰。
我們這次提出了一款基於流體、大範圍腳底觸覺回饋之地板裝置—GroundFlow。於虛擬實境時配合該裝置,能讓體驗者在虛與實的環境中感受相互對應的水流,以增強虛擬實境中的沉浸感。
Improving fidelity and realism in simulating tactile sensation in VR is crucial to enhance users' immersive experience. Those technologies have been researched widely in the field such as haptic simulation for ground feedback.
However, most of these well-developed methods are focused on simulating the tactile sensation of solid material like sand, grass, and snow. It remains an open question about how to replicate multiple fluid sensations correctly.
We present GroundFlow, a liquid-based tactile simulating device, designed to simulate multiple fluid tactile sensations like flow and wave by using water on the ground. To enhance users' immersive experience, our goal is to synchronize fluid sensations between real-world and virtual environments.
